Keira Knightley’s £1, 3 million flat has been burgled and thieves have made off with two laptops worth around £2,000. Guess she’s going to need to get the locksmiths in to sort her security out. It’s a good thing she doesn’t live in South Africa where housebreaking keeps locksmiths Johannesburg in business.
She returned to her London home after promoting her latest film, Last Night, in Rome, and found her home had been ransacked. In an interview with Keira Knightley she says that she feels violated and fears that the personal information stored on the laptops may be sold.
It is believed that the burglars gained access to the flat through a faulty communal door. Keira Knightley shares the flat with her brother, and an internal door separating their rooms was forced open. The detectives investigating the case say the burglars could have easily spent up to an hour going through her belongings. Scotland Yard issued a statement saying that officers from Westminster CID are investigating the matter and a forensics team has been dispatched to dust for shoe marks or finger prints.
According to news about Keira Knightley, the actress has gone on holiday to recover from the shock. She says that she is worried about her safety and is uncertain about returning to the flat. However, it seems it’s going to take more than new locksmiths for Keira Knightley to feel safe at home again.
